“I sought services from Ward Advocacy for my teen son who has an intellectually disability and autism (with behaviors). This company has been found to be so dependable, professional, person centered and flexible. I need services each weekday afternoon while I am at work and all days, when school is off. The mentor is so patient with my son and teaches incidentally through modeling. He also will process situations and redirect him “back on track”. I travel all over the state and they have been flexible if I need a half hour earlier pick up or an occasional extra hour of services, in a given day. The agency takes him volunteering at a local soup kitchen 1x weekly, encourages daily exercise and also reading at the library. The agency has been able to handle his negative behaviors and any behavior incidents…the mentor has taken my son to Brownstone Water Park, Peabody Museum, Cartoon museum, Beardsley Zoo and the beach. Regular community recreation and integration is the norm. They play tennis and basketball together as well. The mentor encourages him to swim and jog regularly also. 5 stars***** A+++++++. I have had to utilize mentor services from 5 other agencies through the years and I would grade this agency the highest! Thank you Mr. Ward for all you have done and continue to do for my family. While at work I am confident my son is in good hands and doing things for my child’s benefit ! Some mentors with other agencies were running their personal errands on my child’s time.
